New Facebook Page Coming in January
In the coming months we will transition our Facebook profile to a Facebook page. Confused? I understand. Let me explain what we are doing.
First the good news! You will still be able to get updates, make comments on posts, view photos, message me, etc. on Facebook. The only difference is that we will be using a different vehicle to connect.
On Facebook there are two basic types of accounts. There are personal accounts which are called “Profiles”. This is the most common type of account and the type of account I have used from the beginning of my time with Facebook. The other type of accounts are called “Pages”. They are very similar in appearance, but different in application.
One of the athletes I follow is Tim Tebow. If you search for Tim Tebow on Facebook, you will find his page. It looks a lot like a normal profile, but notice that he has over 2 million followers! This is the primary difference between a “profile” and a “page”. With a personal profile, Facebook limits the number of people who can interact with you to only 5,000. Once that number of friends is reached, no one else can join the conversation unless someone “unfriends” me. Ouch. With a page, you can have unlimited number of friends. This is the main reason I am converting the profile to a page. I want to be sure that in the future, there is room for everyone to interact with the ministry and myself.
What will this mean for you?
1. If you want to stay connected, in the next three months you will need to navigate to the new page and join the other friends there by clicking on the “Like” button on the page. The new page is located here:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Timothy-Mark/58506371374?ref=hl
2. Once on the page, click on the “Follow” button to stay connected with updates from me.
3. You will still be able to see pictures, message me, and see updates from me. Pretty much anything you were able to do on the profile page you will still be able to do on the new page.
In January we will begin using the new page for all updates and the old profile page will be deactivated. If you want to keep up with what God is doing in my life and ministry, this is the place you will need to be. Currently, all of my Twitter updates are going to the new page. I’m in process of navigating all of my photos over to the page as well.
I imagine you may have questions along the way. Feel free to message me with any questions you have. I’ll be glad to help in anyway I can.
You can also post a question in the comments section below. In the mean time, I’ll look forward to connecting with you on the new page!
