God is fully in control

This morning as I was praying, I was struck by the knowledge that God is fully in control. There may be any number of difficult circumstances that come into our lives. When we understand that God is fully in control, we can rest despite the circumstances. Here are a few of the phrases that came to mind as I was praying for friends and issues that are happening in my world.

God,
I don’t understand your timing, but you are fully in control.
I wish I would see you move in this difficulty, but you are fully in control.
I don’t understand why the situation is getting worse instead of better, but you are fully in control.
I don’t understand why children die, but you are fully in control.
I hurt when I see friends hurting, but you are fully in control.
I don’t understand why you allow sin to go unaddressed, but you are fully in control.
I don’t understand why ______ is far from relationship with you, but you are fully in control.
I hurt for the body of Christ in North America, but you are fully in control.
I’m concerned about my country, but you are fully in control.
I’m concerned about where you are leading, but you are fully in control.
I wish my body would heal faster, but you are fully in control.
I’m confused about this situation and not sure what to do, but you are fully in control.
